Update Following Hearing of 7 August 2019
British Teen Faces Trial in the Republic of Cyprus After Reporting Group Rape
Justice Abroad is assisting the British teenager and her family in this matter. The teenager is currently remanded in Nicosia Prison and is facing trial in Cyprus after reporting a gang rape in the town of Ayia Napa in the Republic of Cyprus. The teenager and her family no longer instruct the lawyer Mr Andreas Pittadjis.

The teenager appeared in Famagusta District Court on the morning of 7 August 2019 for a brief hearing. The matter was adjourned until 19 August 2019. The family intend to appoint an expert legal team to represent the teenager in regard to this matter and to bring to light the breach of her rights that she has endured.
