Justice Abroad Acting for Businessman Mehul Choksi Kidnapped from Antigua and Forced into Dominica
Justice Abroad is instructed by the family of businessman Mehul Choksi in regard to his kidnapping from Antigua and Barbuda, where he is a citizen, his unlawful rendition to the Commonwealth of Dominica, and his torture and mistreatment during this journey by boat.
The aim of this action was to remove the protection that Mr Choksi enjoys in Antigua by way of his right to appeal any decision on an application to remove his citizenship or to extradite him to India to the Privy Council in London as the highest court of appeal for Antigua. Mr Choksi does not have this protection in Dominica.
Justice Abroad’s Michael Polak will be hosting a press conference to discuss this matter on Thursday 10 June 2021 at 9am BST (London)/1.30pm IST (New Delhi). Members of the press who would like to attend this press conference are asked to email contact@justiceabroad.co.uk
